If you are an American citizen requiring emergency assistance after business hours, please contact the US Embassy duty officer at (597) 710-1112. This number is NOT for visa inquiries. No visa inquiries will be answered on this number. During business hours (Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), please call our general number (597) 556-700 and follow the voice menu instructions for the emergency U.S. citizen services option.

The US Embassy’s consular section provides non-emergency services (including routine passport, registration and notary services) by appointment on Fridays from 08:00 to 11:00 a.m.  To schedule an appointment please click here.
