The Embassy of the United States is pleased to announce the call for proposals for the 2018 U.S. Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) Grants Competition. This year two grant programs are available. The first is the 2018 Small Grants Competition. The second is 2018 Large Grants Competition.
Funding Range for Small Grants Competition Awards: From a minimum of $10,000 to a maximum of $200,000 per project. In FY 2017, awards ranged from US $24,000 to US $174,000.
Funding Range for Large Grants Competition Awards: The minimum Large Grant award is $200,000 per project. Since 2008, awards made through this program for new large-scale projects have ranged from $200,000 to $979,000 with an average award of $480,000.
The AFCP was established in 2001 in collaboration with the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) to assist countries in preserving their cultural heritage. You are invited to work with the U.S. Embassy Paramaribo’s Public Affairs Section to develop and submit proposals for possible funding under this initiative.
