Event: Paramaribo Road Closures on August 23, 2023.
The Suriname Police Force (KPS) has announced that the following streets will be closed to traffic on August 23, 2023, in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace in connection with a special session of both the Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court of Suriname.
The following roads or intersections will be closed starting on 23 AUG at 9:00am:
- FHR Lim A Poststraat/ Mr.JC de Mirandastraat.
- FHR Lim A Poststraat/ Kromme Elleboogstraat.
- Watermolenstraat/ Oude Hofstraat.
- Watermolenstraat/ Grote Hofstraat.
The U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo recommends individuals avoid the area, consider alternate routes, and follow all traffic rules and regulations.
