Surinam Airways has announced that it intends to operate a repatriation flight from Paramaribo to Miami for non-residents of Suriname on April 2, 2020. Please contact Surinam Airways directly by dialing 171 (from 08:00-16:00), messaging +597 8941922 (from 08:00-20:00), or writing helpdesk-covid19@flyslm.com to inquire about schedules or booking.
U.S. citizens who are considering returning to the United States are urged to make travel arrangements while flights are still available.

Please be advised that starting Sunday, March 29th, the Government of Suriname has instituted a nationwide curfew between the hours of 20:00-06:00 as a counter measure to the spread of COVID-19. The curfew will last two weeks and expires on April 12th.

Actions to Take:

Report symptoms right away if you believe you may have COVID-19 or were exposed to someone who may have COVID-19 by dialing 178 to reach the designated Ministry of Public Health COVID-19 hotline, or by sending a text to 8836643.
