The Government of Suriname has confirmed several cases of COVID-19 in Suriname.

Please be advised that starting Sunday, March 29th, the Government of Suriname has instituted a nationwide curfew between the hours of 2000-0600 as a counter measure to the spread of COVID-19. The curfew will last two weeks and expires on April 12th.

U.S. citizens who are considering returning to the United States are urged to make travel arrangements while flights are still available. Please contact your airline directly to inquire about schedules and booking.

Actions to Take:

Report symptoms right away if you believe you may have COVID-19 or were exposed to someone who may have COVID-19 by dialing 178 to reach the designated Ministry of Public Health COVID-19 hotline, or by sending a text to 8836643.
