A Surinam Airways flight is scheduled to fly from Paramaribo to Amsterdam on May 9, 2020. This flight may provide an opportunity for repatriation to the United States assuming passengers have proof of an onward ticket to the U.S. If the flight is booked, there may be waitlist opportunities. Passengers on this flight transiting to the U.S. would need to stay in the airport until the transfer. We recommend contacting the airline directly for details and confirmation that non-Dutch citizens may board. The Government of Suriname has instituted a nationwide curfew between the hours of 20:00-06:00 as a countermeasure to the spread of COVID-19. The curfew will last two weeks and expires on May 10th.

Actions to Take:

Report symptoms right away if you believe you may have COVID-19 or were exposed to someone who may have COVID-19 by dialing 178 to reach the designated Ministry of Public Health COVID-19 hotline, or by sending a text to 8836643.
