Ambassador Nolan Delivers Opening Remarks at Training for Prosecutors and Police to Combat Trafficking in Persons

Ambassador Nolan delivered opening remarks during the first day of a training program designed to assist prosecutors and police in combatting human trafficking.  This program is a continuation of training conducted in 2016 and was hosted in collaboration with the UN Office for Drugs and Crime.  The training focused on equipping prosecutors and police officers with the latest investigative and prosecutorial techniques, with a focus on a victim-centered approach.  During his remarks, Ambassador Nolan emphasized the United States’ continued commitment to supporting Surinamese law enforcement and combatting human trafficking.
